Hey Girl! It’s your favorite quirky girl Jelly! Not to be extra, but I love the Fall/Winter season. I love warm drinks. I love cozy sweaters and I love the cold weather, because I love to bundle up in my favorite sweaters and layer like a fiery coat. But sometimes layering is a challenge in itself, that’s why between trial-and-error and the interwebs I have learned the best ways to create the perfect layered look without looking bulky.

I saaaaaid.....brrr *clap clap* it’s cold in here, sweaters, booties, leggings, that’s what imma wear. I said brr *stomp stomp*, just kidding. Sistah’s, it’s ya girl here, I’ve returned to tell you all about the best time of year for fashion: FALL/ WINTER. YOU CAN’T CONVINCE ME that this ain’t the season of TRUE fashion! Some people might think blah to cold weather fashion or that it’s just too cold to be cute but honey, darling, baby girl, let me redirect your view cause you can’t say no to comfy and fashionable layers. Fall/winter services to a multitude of fabric choices, dark colors combinations, LAY- ERS, boots, boooooots galore! And so much more. Also we’re in that time of year where everyone thinks it’s spring but it’s just winter with the sun (at least it is in Texas) so you can arguably throw on a spring blouse in conjunction with your winter wear to add some pep in your step buuut for now let’s just focus on the core of how to look goooooood in da cold.

In our modern world where the word “extra” is very subjective, it can also be said on the runway. Fall/winter 2019 was all about the “Extra”. We saw an abundance of big sleeves, sequin covered dresses, and dramatic silhouettes. However, there is no question that feathers stole the show. Over the top? Yes! But we love it! Cobalt Blue a color with history as rich as its hue. This color traces as far back as the ancient Egyptians. However, it wasn’t until 1777 when it officially became a part of the English language. If that isn’t peculiar enough the pure pigmentation of cobalt blue was not discovered until 1802, by Louis Jacquse Thenard, which is where Cobalt Blue gets the nick name Thenard Blue from.
