Discovering Your Personal Color Palette Part 2: What is Your Season?
by Stacy Williams
So now that we have figured out what your skin's undertone is we can figure out what colors look stunning on you. Based on your hair and eye color we can define your look by seasons and there by your perfect colors. Now it is time to get excited! Below are the color charts to show what colors go best on your skin!
If your skin is Cool Toned then you are either a Winter or Summer. Winter people have dark colored eyes and dark hair with an ash undertone. While Summer people have light and bright colored eyes and lighter hair with an ash undertone. Silver jewelry looks best on your both because of the bluish hue you have to your skin.
If your skin is Warm Toned then you are either a Autumn or Spring. Autumn people have dark colored eyes and dark hair with a gold or reddish undertone. While Spring people have light and bright colored eyes and lighter hair with a gold or reddish undertone. Gold jewelry looks best on your both due to the golden hue you have to your skin.
And what about our Olive or Neutral Toned beauties. Well you are lucky because you can wear either color of jewelry and the rainbow offers you all colors in its' palette to make your skin glow.
No matter if you tanned for the summer, dye your hair for the winter or wear colored contacts on various occasions your season will not change. However, your color palette will shift slightly based on those changes. You will notice that as your skin gets more tanned the you are able to wear deeper colors. Below are color palettes broken down by shifting hair color, eye color, and skin shade.
Cool Toned Palette
Your color palette is all blue based. Blue based reds and chocolate browns. Even if you don't have your color palette memorized make sure that the colors you choose have a blue hue to them.
Warm Toned Palette
Your color palette is yellow based. Tomato reds and khaki based browns. Make sure to when shopping the colors you choose have a golden or yellow undertone to them.
Now that we have discovered our undertone and season specific color palette I hope that it is easier to shop this season's color trends and to weed out the not so stunning colors from your closet. Which is what I am doing now. As well as going thru my plethora of eyeshadows!
Thanks for reading and stay runway ready my friends! Much Love, Stacy
